Certificate/Diploma of Archives and Records ManagementArchives and Records Management is an exciting career option for all graduates, especially those from History, Public Policy, Art History, New Zealand Literature, and Commerce & Administration. A Certificate or Diploma qualification in this field can fast-track you through to employment opportunities in central or local government, or the private sector. Victoria University of Wellington will be offering three qualifications for information professionals from the beginning of 2010. They are:
You will be able to select courses that suit your own preferred study and career paths. All the new qualifications can be earned with an endorsement of either LIBS (library science) or ARCR (archives and records management), if they include the appropriate courses. See further information about the structure of new programme here. Options for students enrolled in the Certificate/Diploma of Archives and Records Management before 2010The PGCertArcRec and PGDipArcRec programmes are also being closed after 2009. Current students in these qualifications will be able to complete under the 2009 statute or switch to the PGCertIS or PGDipIS.
